BJ Moore

Barbara J. Moore, PMP, is an entrepreneur who has founded several businesses including Lida Ray Technologies (LRT). LRT specializes in global high technology turnaround initiatives for Fortune 500 companies and has a growing environmental division.

Her work has spanned both R&D and industrial applications of robotics, bio-acoustic computational experiments, and flight simulation. Industry applications include knowledge rule-based computer self-diagnosis, global distributed data warehousing, and large-scale content management systems.

Her research interest specialties are social impacts of technology, global applications, computer security and privacy, Internet of things (IOT), and self-maintaining systems. 

A member of IEEE since her student years, she is an IEEE Third Millennium Award Winner and has been recognized for her contributions to US Region 2 Committee,  IEEE Dayton Section, and the IEEE Computer Society. 

BJ has served on the IEEE 802.11 wireless standards committee, and was program chair of the International Wireless Applications Conference.

She has served the National Aerospace and Electronics Conference as Conference Chair and on the Board of Directors. She has been active in many international  conferences in key roles including Board Member, Program Chair, and Guest Speaker.

BJ was a founding member of a Southwestern Ohio regional women’s networking organization and works with several non-profits.

She was the first civilian to be included on the DoD Computer Security Working Group.

She authored numerous published juried articles and is a guest speaker for corporations and international conferences.

She was the first civilian to be included on the DoD Computer Security Working Group. She has been recognized in Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the World. She is a certified PMP. 

BJ holds degrees in Electronic Engineering, MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration, and an MS in Information Technology.
